HISTORY

Diplomáticos is a comparatively recent brand dating from the 1960s. Its original lineup bore a marked resemblance to Montecristo, even using numbers rather than names to describe its sizes. The remaining No.2 size is ‘tripa larga, totalmente a mano’ – long filler, totally handmade.

While Diplomáticos has been selected on several occasions for Regional Edition releases, Cancilleres represents the first addition to the brand's permanent portfolio in many years, marking an important new chapter in the evolution of Diplomáticos.

In Spanish, the name "Canciller" refers to the highest diplomatic rank, and is therefore associated with refinement and distinction.

Diplomáticos Cancilleres delivers the brand's characteristic medium-to-full flavour profile, with a complex and evolving smoke. Its aromatic character develops from distinctive woody and floral notes towards richer leather and nutty nuances, finishing with a subtle earthy character.
