Diplomaticos No.2

HISTORY

Diplomáticos is a comparatively recent brand dating from the 1960s. Its original lineup bore a marked resemblance to Montecristo, even using numbers rather than names to describe its sizes. The remaining No.2 size is ‘tripa larga, totalmente a mano’ – long filler, totally handmade.

No.2 Still produced in Cuba today, this well-tailored torpedo with its distinct appealing flavours offers excellent aromas and smoking characteristics true to its shape.

TASTING NOTES

This cigar delivers notes of rich cedar, moist earth, and subtle spice. As the smoke progresses, the profile deepens, revealing a blend of creamy cocoa, roasted coffee bean, and leather, maintaining a smooth, balanced complexity throughout. The construction ensures an excellent draw and a focused flavour concentration.

Given its earthy depth and notes of cocoa and cedar, the Diplomáticos No. 2 is ideally paired with an equally complex and warming drink, such as a Sherry Cask Single Malt Scotch Whisky or a Dark Roast Espresso.
