HISTORY
Don Francisco Fonseca founded his brand in the 1890s.
A handsome man, who cared deeply for appearances, he passed his sartorial precision on to his cigars which he dressed in silky tissue paper – a tradition that continues to this day on all the Havanas that bear his name.
Fonseca’s delicate blend of filler and binder tobaccos from the Vuelta Abajo zone makes it the ideal cigar for the afternoon, or for people new to Havanas.
All UK sizes of Fonseca are tripa larga, ‘totalmente a mano’ – long filler, totally handmade.
Virtually a Petit Corona and dressed in Fonseca’s pristine white tissue. Vuelta Abajo filler tobaccos blended for a light, subtle taste of Cuban tobaccos.
TASTING NOTES
This mild cigar, at first light, starts with notes of sweetness, yeasty bread, and light, creamy vanilla. The smoke remains delicate and approachable, offering subtle floral notes and a clean, short finish.
This gentle profile is best enjoyed with a mild drink like green tea, a dry Prosecco, or a light-bodied pilsner.
