HISTORY
When the Oliva family met Sam Lecia, he was travelling through Estelí, Nicaragua, to learn about the art of cigar rolling. During his stay with the Oliva family, he was awestruck by their masterful technique and inspired to try creating his unique brand of cigars. With the Oliva family, Sam came up with the concept for NUB cigars, a line of premium smokes that deliver only the most enjoyable part of a cigar: the sweet spot.
The idea behind NUB cigars is based on a complex theory about where a cigar truly reaches its peak flavour and smoking experience. According to this theory, the “sweet spot” is around 3 ½- 4 inches into a cigar, which is also when it has reached its widest point in diameter.
Thus, NUB cigars are designed to be exactly 4 inches long or shorter and always have ring gauges ranging from 56-66.
