HISTORY
Vegueros translates into English as ‘farmers’, and these cigars have happily maintained their rustic edge. The name of each new vitola also draws inspiration from the Cuban farmers’ vocabulary.
Originally introduced to the market in 1996 as a full-flavoured tribute to the countless generations of men and women that have cultivated tobacco in the world-famous plantations of Pinar del Rio, the brand was relaunched in 2013 with a new medium-to-full bodied blend, new sizes and presented in unique tins of 16 cigars.
All sizes of Vegueros are ‘tripa larga, totalmente a mano,’ – long filler, totally handmade.
The ‘Centrofinos’ is a classification for the leaves of the sun-grown tobacco plant harvested from around mid-way up the plant. This cigar is a unique size within the Habanos portfolio and the largest of the Vegueros range. It is presented in tins of 16 and packs of 4.
TASTING NOTES
This medium-to-full strength cigar provides flavours of fresh grass, sweet toast, floral aromatics, light spice, and sweet cedar.
It pairs well with a VSOP Cognac or a glass of Amontillado Sherry.
