HISTORY
Vegueros translates into English as ‘farmers’, and these cigars have happily maintained their rustic edge. The name of each new vitola also draws inspiration from the Cuban farmers’ vocabulary.
All sizes of Vegueros are ‘tripa larga, totalmente a mano,’ – long filler, totally handmade.
Originally introduced to the market in 1996 as a full-flavoured tribute to the countless generations of men and women that have cultivated tobacco in the world-famous plantations of Pinar del Rio, the brand was relaunched in 2013 with a new medium-to-full bodied blend, new sizes and presented in unique tins of 16 cigars.
TASTING NOTES
A medium-to-full body with offering notes of black pepper, wet earth, cocoa, and a hint of dark fruit and toasted wood that lingers on the palate.
The woody tones of this cigar will pair well with an Islay Single Malt Scotch (peated or unpeated) or a rich Jamaican Dark Rum.
